RIDE WEST.... and Bring Your Own Horse!
Yes, at Montana Cowgirl Camp we want you to have fun, relax and enjoy your Montana mountain experience... and for cowgirls, there's no better way to do this than on your own horse!
Montana horseback riding vacations don’t have to mean leaving your horse behind and riding a guest ranch horse. Montana Cowgirl Camp is the perfect vacation, allowing you to bring your own equine friend with you. A variety of riding terrain offers challenges, opportunities and new riding experiences that you can enjoy together with your horse.
Accommodations include separate pens for each guest horse. We do not provide hay or feed for your horses, as the abrupt change in diet may cause digestive problems. We want you to enjoy your get-away, so please bring enough hay (2-3 bales), to be sure your horse is happy and comfortable.
Horses must be well-broke, in good physical condition and have shoes, as we will be riding some rugged mountain terrain and trails. This is not an opportunity to start colts or put miles on your green horses, so we kindly request horses in the early stages of training be left at home.
We may be riding amongst cows, and, while we won't be actively working them, please be sure your horse is comfortable with cows so as not to surprised or frightened by them.
Saddles must have breast collars and rear cinches for mountain trail riding. Stampede string or strap is required for all wide brimmed hats. Helmets and chaps are recommended but optional.
Prior to your arrival, each guest must furnish a health certificate including current 6-way flu-rhino vaccination documentation, and a current (within the last 12 months) coggins test.
